S. Scott...01-21-07

My name is Stephan Scott and I had the Lap Band Surgery a few years back. I was at a normal weight throughout my youth and teenage years, and eventually ended up be three times my normal size. I became depressed over time and stayed about the same heavy weight. Dieting didn't work at all. Maybe it was the fact that it all seemed so overwhelming. I looked at myself and thought that it was impossible to ever go back to healthy lifestyle. Even now that I've had the surgery, I still believe that old habits die hard. The surgery was the easy part, it's the lifestyle that will be the tough path for many years. But now I have new healthier habits and that's a goal we should all try to get to.

Hi, my name is James Perry. About a year ago I was watching a morning show as I got ready for work and they were talking about plastic surgery trends. I didn't really pay attention to anything just because I assumed it would be about woman surgeries. However, to my surprised they talked about male plastic surgery.
Ever since the age of 7, I've had a huge bump on my nose and a bump on my jaw. It was the results to playing around with my friends, it has been so long so I really can't remember the exact events. Anyway, I never really consider plastic surgery for myself because it was something that no males in my family had ever discussed. In the end I did go through with the surgeries and now I feel better than ever. They were minor surgeries but I feel so much better about myself. So thank you to the doctors and nurses that gave this wonderful gift to me.

I had no insurance and needed to find a surgeon in Mexico. I didn’t know where to begin. The folks at safemexicosurgery.com pointed me in the right direction. I don’t think I would have ended up with the great results I did, without them. They helped me to find a qualified surgeon in my price range. When your health is at stake, you can never be too careful!

I went to Mexico for my surgery a year ago. I believed everything the facilitator told me. She seemed so nice and knowledgeable. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I got terrible care and they overcharged me. Now that they have my money, they could care less about my problems. Now there is nothing I can do about it. I wish I had found this site BEFORE I had my surgery. Even though there is nothing I can do to change what happened to me, at lease I can voice my experience here so that no one else will have to go through what I did.

Boy am I happy an organization like PCCOE exists. Going to Mexico for surgery offers no guarantees, so it’s buyer beware! Everyone I contacted claimed the doctor they represent is the best. I found what seemed like very over inflated claims that the doctor had done 4,000 to 7,000 procedures with doctors that didn’t look old enough to have done that many. Did they eat or sleep? I wanted good treatment, competency, safety, truthfulness and a well equipped hospital with everything needed in case something was to go wrong. This is a great service for those of us that can’t afford surgery in the U.S. Thank you PCCOE!

My wife wanted to have plastic surgery and we couldn’t afford the high U.S. prices. I wasn’t very happy when she brought up having surgery in Mexico. I was sure she would come home in a body bag! We did lots of research, but it was hard to make sense out of all the different results we were getting. We tried to find officials in Mexico to verify information given by some of the doctor’s offices. This task was impossible! There are no agencies similar to the U.S. to check complaints, etc. I was open minded enough to believe that there are good surgeons in all countries, it was just a matter of finding them. We decided on one of the surgeons that PCCOE recommended. My wife is very happy with her results and I’m very happy she was safe and well taken care of.
